How Colonial Life Dental Insurance works

Colonial Life Dental Insurance provides benefits for a variety of covered procedures, from routine cleanings to root canals.

Our Dental Insurance plans

  • Give you the freedom to see an extensive network of in-network dentists

Colonial Life Dental Insurance offers an optional Vision Rider to help pay for eye exams and materials, such as glasses and contact lenses. This coverage can help you maintain healthy vision and overall wellness, as well as provide valuable financial protection for you, your spouse and dependent children.

Visit the eye doctor who’s right for you

With Colonial Life Vision coverage, you have access to a national vision network that includes independent optometrists, ophthalmologists and retail stores like Walmart, Sam’s Club Optical, Costco, Pearle Vision and Target.

Eye exams and materials (frames, lenses) can be purchased from different locations and providers. For example, you could have an eye exam with your favorite eye care professional and order contacts online.

Colonial Life Dental Insurance covers multiple procedures, including:

• Routine exams, cleanings and X-rays
• Fillings, sealants and space maintainers
• Pain management, such as sedation and anesthesia
• Oral surgery, gum treatments and prosthetic repair
• Crowns, root canals, dentures, implants and other major services

Orthodontia and vision coverage are also available as optional add-ons.

Yes. If you leave your job, you are able to take your coverage with you. If you leave your job, you will receive a Continuation of Coverage letter from Colonial Life with instructions on next steps. You will need to change your premium payment method to direct bill, which means you pay Colonial Life directly instead of paying through your employer.
